Martin's Beach Wedding | Getting Ready at Ritz-Carlton | Half Moon Bay, CA
Tori and Joe | Martin’s Beach Wedding Photos | Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay Wedding Portraits
Tori and Joe’s dream of a destination wedding with their dearest friends and family in Los Cabos, Mexico didn’t happen due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But, the pandemic did not stop them from getting married. Thanks to some amazing last minute planning by Tori and perhaps the stars aligning just right, they were able to keep their wedding date and have their destination beach wedding right at home at the beautiful Martin’s Beach in Half Moon Bay. The couple said they realized that the ultimate goal was to be married, not have a big reception or gathering. They ended up having about 40 of their closest family and friends attend their Martin’s Beach wedding and then they took their celebration to the outdoor patio of the Cantina at San Benito House in Half Moon Bay.
Tori and Joe met at a kickboxing gym where they started as workout partners and quickly grew to much more. When Joe proposed to Tori, he sent her on a scavenger hunt to all of their first places like where they first met, had a beer, ran their first half marathon together, and their first date. Each location had a beautiful letter waiting for Tori and led her to the next location. With a proposal that romantic, surely their Martin’s Beach wedding was destined to be super romantic as well, right? Yes. It most definitely was!
Tori and her bridal party, along with her mom, stepmom, and flower girl all got ready at the gorgeous Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay. The happiness and excitement for Tori’s big day filled the room and made for some of our favorite getting ready photos ever! After everyone was ready, we headed outside for some equally amazing portraits on the stunning grounds of the Ritz-Carlton overlooking the magnificent views of the Half Moon Bay Coastal Trail.
After finishing up wedding portraits at the Half Moon Bay Ritz-Carlton, the wedding party headed 10 minutes down the coast to Martin’s Beach for the wedding ceremony. The Martin’s Beach ceremony site was set up facing the sea, with the impressive shark tooth rock serving as an amazing backdrop as Tori and Joe became husband and wife.
A few surprise waves interrupted the ceremony and provided some laughs to to the couple and their guests. In the end, there was a joyous announcement of the new husband and wife. We just love the “yeah, we did it!” photo of Tori at the end of the ceremony. After the ceremony, the bride and groom had some fun photos with their bridal party and finished up their Martin’s Beach wedding with some romantic couple portraits before heading to dinner at the Cantina at San Benito House in downtown Half Moon Bay.
Congratulations to Tori and Joe! We are so very happy for you both and wish you a wonderful married life together!
