Shirley and David came back home to San Jose to have the most beautiful wedding at the gorgeous Ranch at Silver Creek by Wedgewood Weddings. Their wedding can best be described as simply beautiful. All of the details had an understated elegance to them and they had the warmest group of family and friends come to celebrate with them.

We started off with Shirley and David getting ready at a nearby rental house in San Jose along with a good portion of their wedding party. Almost all of their wedding party had flown in from New York for the wedding celebration. It says a lot about Shirley and David when so many of their friends were more than happy to travel across the country to be part of their wedding day. The couple calls New York home currently as well, but they wanted to have their wedding back home in San Jose so they could share their special day with their families.

After Shirley’s hair and make up was done and all the guys were dressed, everyone headed over to The Ranch at Silver Creek where Shirley’s sister and maid of honor helped her put on her dress and perfect all of her final touches. While Shirley was getting ready in the bridal suite, David and his best buds were having some fun together popping champagne.

After everyone was ready, we all headed down to the lower entrance of the Ranch at Silver Creek by Wedgewood Weddings for a first look and wedding portraits. The Ranch at Silver Creek is one of our all-time favorite venues for photos because they have the most gorgeous grounds for beautiful photos with a huge variety of backgrounds from olive trees to gardens to an architecturally stunning bridge with lots of arches. We followed up the first look with wedding party and family photos before moving on to bride and groom portraits with Shirley and David.

When it was wedding ceremony time, the wedding party lined up by the Ranch at Silver Creek clubhouse entrance. The wedding ceremony site is located just off of the clubhouse entrance behind a white picket fence and overlooks the San Jose hills. The view from the Ranch at Silver Creek wedding ceremony site is absolutely gorgeous.

Shirley walked down the aisle with both of her parents and both David and Shirley honored their parents with gifts during the ceremony. Their vows were extremely heartfelt and personal and brought many wedding guests to tears. After the ceremony, David dipped Shirley for a celebratory kiss and then the shared emotional embraces with their wedding party members.

The cermony ended right as the sun began to set, creating an amazing golden hour for portraits. We took advantage and got some romantic sunset wedding photos at the ceremony site. The Ranch at Silver Creek by Wedgewood Weddings has some of the most beautiful and warm golden sunsets of any wedding venue we have photographed. While Shirley and David were taking sunset photos, their guests were enjoying some delicious appetizers and drinks during cocktail hour. Shirley and David joined their guests after photos and socialized the rest of the evening inside the reception room at the Ranch at Silver Creek by Wedgewood Weddings clubhouse.
