Keely and Tony drove south along scenic Highway 1 from their home in Washington state to their friends house in the Santa Cruz Mountains for their secret elopement ceremony. We were so honored to be asked to be there to capture the beauty of their special day!
Keely and Tony’s Santa Cruz Mountain elopement was purely magical in every way from the beautiful clear January day to the most perfect golden sunset light peeking through the majestic redwood trees during the entire ceremony and portrait time. The location Keely and Tony chose was the private property of their close friends in Watsonville, CA near Mt. Madonna State Park. The property was nestled high in the mountains and surrounded by lush greenery and huge redwood trees.
Keely’s vision for her wedding day was Boho inspired and she did a phenomenal job putting together every beautiful detail DIY. From the ceremony arch made from pampas grass to the amazing wildflower bouquet put together from wildflowers freshly picked right before the elopement. The ceremony site she created had fresh cut logs at varied heights with lots of white candles placed on them. Keely and Tony stood on a faux fur rug adorned with boho pillows and wildflowers. Keely was an absolutely stunning bride and totally nailed the boho look with her lace wedding dress with bell sleeves, her long and loose hair, and the wildflower crown on her head.
While everything about their Santa Cruz Mountain elopement was beautiful, Keely and Tony’s deep connection with each other was the most beautiful aspect of all. Their love for each other and the family they were just beginning beamed through every moment. And what made it even more exciting was that it was a secret elopement! They didn’t tell their friends and family until after they were married. They shared the wonderful news through their wedding photo gallery!
The couple opted for a first look on the deck of their friends’ mountain home before the ceremony. Then we all headed to the ceremony site where Keely and Tony vowed to be together forever with beautiful and personal vows that they wrote to each other. After the ceremony, the couple celebrated with a champagne toast and a romantic sunset picnic together.
Congratulations to Keely and Tony! We could not be happier for you both and your new family!
